Guildford Borough Council and Waverley Borough Council are working in collaboration to provide better sustainable local services.  At the heart of this is the ambition to ensure that we continue to improve, be fiscally efficient and contribute to the net carbon strategy we have set.  The local government sector is experiencing a difficult fiscal landscape, our partnership will assist by providing efficiency and collaboration opportunities . We are now seeking an exceptional individual to complete our Joint Management Team at Executive Head level.

Executive Head of Environmental Services

We have a strong sense of responsibility for our environment, championing carbon reduction and protecting the planet.  We must maintain and improve the quality of our environment here in Surrey. Environmental Services are the custodian of our open spaces, the service covers waste collection and strategy, fleet, countryside, parks, street scene and bereavement services.

We are seeking an Executive Head to provide overall leadership and management for this important service.  The successful applicant will give strategic and policy direction to lead continuous improvement in the services.  Identification of collaboration opportunities and efficiency savings is also key.
